Cheesemaking & Brewery Tour – near Dorking

  • Summary

Savour the products from outstanding artisan producers of Surrey cheese and beer.

This exclusive Gastronomy Club event starting at Sherbourne Farm on Shere Road, Albury, in the Surrey Hills, provides a wonderful opportunity to combine visits and tastings at award winning cheese and beer producers. A real treat for gastronomes and foodies who have the chance to learn about the processes used in making these traditional, artisan products, and to sample their delicious wares. Return transfers are provided between the Norbury Park Farm Cheese Co, where car parking is available, and the Dorking Brewery, together with a Ploughman’s Lunch.

The Norbury Park Farm Cheese Company which produces the Norbury Blue, Dirty Vicar, and Dorking Cock cheeses, was named after its distinctive Norbury Blue cheese. Started in 2001, the family run business uses milk from a closed herd of Fresian cows and on this visit, you learn, and see first-hand, cheese making in the traditional way, with an opportunity of feeling the curds, spiking the cheese, and of course tasting the award winning cheeses!

The Dorking Brewery is a carbon-negative brewery producing over 20,000 pints of exciting, modern style beers every week. Whilst it maintains traditional brewing methods the various beers are, inspired by the best ingredients, flavours and techniques from all over the world. After the brewery tour, you get the chance to sample the beers which are made without finings, leaving them naturally hazy and suitable for vegans, and to take away three cans of beer of your choice.

This Experience also makes a great gift for family & friends or used as a corporate rewards incentive. It is bookable as a stand alone event but is often featured in one of our Foodie Experience Days – for information on these foodie activities and other similar events call us on 033 3200 7396 or send us a message via our Contact Form.
