This hour and a half tasting explain the six steps our customers and Gastronomy Club Members need to know for a proper whisky tasting and should greatly help it comes to whisky appreciation. The tasting experience comes with loads of stories and facts that include:
- The Scotch whisky regions and their main differences in flavour
- Differences between single malt and blended whiskies
- How small changes in the production methods can highly influence the flavour of whisky
- Differences between casks and how they contribute to the flavour of whisky

Join Camilo who will be on screen from Glasgow at 7:00 pm on the first Thursday of every month for a virtual Whisky Tasting. About Once Upon a Whisky
Once Upon a Whisky was founded in 2017 by former William Grant & Sons, whisky ambassador Camilo Gomez who has put a new spin on the traditional concept of whisky tours in Scotland.
Camilo holds numerous degrees from prestigious institutions, including the New York Bartending School, the Wine & Spirits Education Trust, and an MBA at the University of Glasgow, has travelled across Scotland, Europe, USA, Asia and South America researching the art of whisky.
The Once Upon a Whisky Team also includes Samuel Shekleton who has worked in the hospitality industry in front of some of the best whisky and cocktail bars across Glasgow and Edinburgh for several years.
His knowledge, and years of experience bartending have given him a great understanding about whisky and the majority of spirits commonly used from tastings to cocktail competitions. Together, Sam and Camilo, make up a team full of passion and stories, holding a belief that life is way better when we share with others the things we enjoy. They demonstrate to other whisky enthusiasts that whisky is much more than just an alcoholic beverage, it’s a cultural lifestyle that connects people.
